RE: AFRICAN MUSIC: Ojuelegba by Wizkid

in #wafrica6 years ago

Love that music. It's a great blend of local "ethnic" music /beats with current pop styles.

And done in such a way that it's truly listenable and enjoyable. Thanks for posting this.

It is my pleasure sir. I am delighted that you find the song interesting. I am surprised that you've even heard about this artist. You must really be a great music lover.

PS: Thanks for the last lessons. The corrections have been done.

Over the past 20 years or so, I've listened to all kinds of "world" music, which I prefer to call "local music." Actually, I'd never heard of Wizkid, but I'd heard of Fela Kuti years ago, and had some of his music on various compilations.

I don't listen to music as much as I used to, but I still appreciate great music and love listening to such music. In fact, I'm now planning to run an ongoing Steemit series that introduces lesser known artists and their music. (I may not start it for a few months, but I'm currently compiling lists and doing other prep.)

Great to hear that you are making the improvements to your posts. And I'm pleased to help out.
Cheers!

It is amazing to hear this, amazing because I cannot picture how you cope with some of the pidgin English and other local words. Well, I like the fact that you appreciate great music coming from around the world. I am striving towards that, too.

I will be looking forward to your compilations, as I trust they will be educative and even inspiring.

I see that you love Lou Reed so much. I don't really know much about him.
