Respect and maturity
Meaning of terms:
- Respect - showing someone or something how valuable they are.
- Maturity - a state of self and mutual respect towards everyone and thing around. It doesn't mean age but knowing how to properly react in different situations.
About:
let me give a give a short example.
As we all must have heard people say that respect is reciprocal or respect is two ways.
But some time it isn't, some people just take you for granted naturally it can be due to some unknown reason but it does happen.
A person who when not even respected still respecting the other is called Mind maturity.
Maturity is a state of mind in which a person can separate necessary from irrelevant. Situation where one is not valued can still value the other. I'm a living witness and I can tell you that sometimes people just don't respect you for no reason it can be due to their pride or upbringing but no one can say for sure.
it's painful when you really respect a person but all you get is a not too concerned attitude. Why not try avoiding a situation than beg after you let it happen. A person who complains should know more about the pain of a thing but it seems it's doesn't apply to everyone.
Question to ask ourselves
- Is respect given to those who respect is due to.
- is respect given out of fear.
- is respect given to only those we can benefit from.
- how can I be matured
Is this what it seems to be or is it only my imagination. it takes nothing out of a person to respect another, one may say it makes you seem weak and others may say it brings down their pride.
what lack of maturity and respect can lead to
- dishonesty.
- unnecessary drama.
- withdrawal of favours.
- bad name tagging.
why we need to respect others and be matured
- it saves us from trouble.
- prevents exploding issues.
- can bring about unseen opportunities.
- you get to be in serious discussion and who knows you might get to meet people who can help you in time of need.
my opinion
Life is about good attitude, knowing when to talk and how to talk. I urge everyone to learn to respect others irrespective of situations, because we never can say the person we disrespect today might be our saviour if only we remembered to be respectful.
