Hi every one, how is your evening going? hope is going on fine.
Today, many of us don't know the true meaning of temptation and how we can be tempted.
Today, i will be sharing to you @wafrica some of the knowledge i have about it.
WHAT IS TEMPTATION?
TEMPTATION (IN THE BIBLE) In the Bible the word temptation primarily denotes a trial in which man has a free choice of being faithful or unfaithful to God; only secondarily does it signify allurement or seduction to sin.
Also, Temptation is a desire to engage in short-term urges for enjoyment, that threatens long-term goals. In the context of some religions, temptation is the inclination to sin.
Being tempted does not make you a bad person. We all experience temptation. (1 Corinthians 10:13) What really matters is how we act when tempted.
SOME BIBLE VERSE TALKS MORE ABOUT TEMPTATION
Matthew 26:41
41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Luke 4:12-13
12 Jesus answered, "It is said: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'Deut. 6:16" 13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
1 Corinthians 10:13
13 No temptation The Greek for "temptation" and "tempted" can also mean "testing" and "tested" . has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted the Greek for "temptation" and "tempted" can also mean "testing" and "tested" . beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,The Greek for "temptation" and "tempted" can also mean "testing" and "tested" . he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

HOW CAN WE OVERCOME TEMPTATION?

come to Jesus
confess your sin to him
ask for his mercy
forsake your sins
believe he can save you
accept him as your Lord
All these are the steps you need to take as a christian.
