Transgender Rights

A Connecticut high school sophomore dominated in last week's track and field competition but the transgender teen's big win has some people outraged and wondering if it's fair she was allowed to compete It s unfair to the young girls who are competing for scholarships. They may have been number one in the state and now they drop in the ranks and lose scholarship consideration. The big colleges look at your state ranking and do not consider that a transgender male is now competing. The school sees you as number two and no longer wants you. This is very unfair.

Well now we'll have to create a third category of scholarship athletes who will tap into the same funds that boys and girls do, so the pot will be divided by three not two.

The Commonwealth games had a male to female weightlifter competing (from my country). She would have won but for injuring herself badly when lifting, then she announced her retirement. Probably the controversy made it a nightmare for her too. A trans category seems to be the only fair way to sort this out.

Totally unfair. Why is this not obvious?
