SELF IMPROVEMENT.

It was after i got out of the national youth service corps (NYSC), a program designed to bring Nigerian youths together with the sole aim of preaching and achieving Peace Unity & Progress as a nation, that i made a bold decision, that decision includes taking time to learn how to improve Myself on different things in life that will be useful to me as i grow up to become the man i want to be. It was not an easy task because it need total commitment, dedication and zeal in other to accomplish this task that will set me for greatness.

So i made a list of what to achieve and the period it will take me to arrive at them. Every day i make sure to go through my planned calendar to know what i am supposed to do and achieve before the end of that day.

Improving in my Character was an important aspect i cherished to work on in other to become almost perfect even if i know that as human, one cannot be perfect. Working at my personal characteristics, moral and values can't be underestimated as its part of what contributes towards a perfect man. How i sit seat, talk, eat, greet, laugh and even what i wear as clothes (fashion) was reviewed in the cause of this journey.

Another reform was learning how to make local Nigerian foods and other types of dishes. But what inspired me to go into this was the due to the fact that i want to be a "Father" rather just being a husband. I am of the school of thought that believes wives are not to suffer the rest of their lives doing more of the domestic jobs at home. Learning to do this will reduce whatever domestic activities she will be doing as a Wife thereby making our home a happy one and give her time to attend to the family rather than waste so much time of house chores. Today i am glad i can make local #Nigerian soups perfectly, ranging from oha, egusi(melon), okra, bitter leaf soup, you just name it.

My choice of friends or people i associate with was not left out also. The adage that say "show me your friend and i will tell you who you are" comes into play. I needed to surround myself with smart, brilliant and intelligent minds, so i can learn a thing or two from them. People fail to make accurate decision as regards to making of friends due to the fact that they are ignorant of effect or influence friends could have on them. It was on that note i had to gradually remove friends who had no values or friends who haven't over the period we became friends improved my life positively.

My advice is that we work on ourselves either male or female, because we cannot give what we do not have.
