THE POWER OF COMMITMENT

It does not take talent or education for one to be successful. it takes commitment to ones course to actually be successful. One can be talented and properly educated in a particular field but if that person does not commit to actually excel in that field then failure is sure. Commitment is one of the most powerful tools for success if not the most powerful.

We all dream of living better lives or achieving great goals. For many of us, our present lives result from being born into difficult circumstances or surviving tragedies Yet we hear about people who overcame impossible odds to achieve wealth or fame. There are often tales of being at the right place at the right time, a coincidence, or meeting the right person just when they need to. But how true is this and if it actually happens that way then over 50% of the world's population should be swimming in wealth and fame.

Forget all the tales that imply that success is for the selected few who happen to be lucky. It is rather commitment that oils the success machine and enables it to move through thick and thin. Even the most intelligent people need a lot of commitment because it takes commitment to put intelligence to work. Commitment gives value and worth to intellectualism. it involves the participation of the heart with the mind in reasoning out a way forward. The knowledge of the man cannot yield much result without the will power. Commitment is therefore the combination of the will and knowledge of a man.

Lets take for instance a musician. A musician cannot excel except he is committed to understanding the needs of the audience he provides content to, writing good music and producing same. It is important to note that commitment works hand in hand with perseverance. Once you are committed to your course, keep doing you and soon the world will hear you
