Amazing stuff man, I have also thought of this quite extensively, as a lot of what I do is computational simulations in Physics, and as our equipment exponentially increases our ability to run much more complex simulations (Such as Chaotic weather systems and such) increases and therefore our likelyhood to accurately Simulate a world like our own becomes a lot easier to imagine.
