yes there sure are many minnows out there that would gladly help whales in curating quality contents, that way both parties win. Like what you said, with the curration reward whales dont need to pay the minnow anymore and same time minnows whoose post get upvoted would want to stick around and see how it turns out, thereby making the community grow larger each day
So it is wiser for the whales to upvote minnows because it will be more better for them and the steem value.

Kinna discouraging, but insightful.
I've been wondering:
What's the account distribution look like? (active humans, active bots, inactive humans, inactive bots, etc)
I don't have the slightest idea of how to find that out, but with such info (and the SP delegation), one could figure out how much of a shift it could take to change the course of steem for the better.
