Earn a Living From Steem

.............................................................................................................................................................
That's the
Objective

my

Strategy

with which to achieve it
is to accumulate enough Steam Power
so that I can power down enough Steem,
when I need it,
to pay for what I need.

.

.

.

.
and....oh yeah
.

.

my

Tactics

will change according to the situation
(improvise, adapt, and OVERCOME)
right now I think my best bet
is to write as many posts as I can, everyday.
and
Take my author rewards 100% as SteemPower
From this point on
I don't intend to vote at all until my vote power reaches 100%
THEN .... I will carefully manage my votes.

.
Right now I'm thinking that the best way
to meet my goal of relative financial independence
would be to vote for my self
after I achieve 100% vote power
.

.
oh...five times a day maybe?
if my vote is worth $6
dependent upon the price of Steem
that would be a daily income of $30
right there.
.
$30 x 30 = $900 a month.
(about minimum wage)
.

.
4 of the other votes
I'll vote at...oh...20%( $1.20)
that would be 30 votes a day
for posts that I LIKE

.
That's called CURATION.
NOT vote harvesting
.

vote harvesting by robots is unsustainable.

It almost destroyed the platform once.
I remember .06 Steem
'bots are one reason why
.
that leaves one vote for comments.
If I drop the comment vote power to
oh...say one percent.
that would be 100 votes on comments
every day
each worth six cents.

so that's my plan

Your vote power is always a 100% until you vote. The weight of your vote power does increase with the amount of Steem Power that you have.

Your vote power, whatever its magnitude may be, replenishes with time.

The strategies for how to utilise this state of affairs are numerous. If you figure out the best one, please tell me. I am still reading the various contents made for beginners.

One strategy would be to put 100,000 US dollars into Steem Power. Then, you could make money just by upvoting articles that you like (uhh... approximately... that might not work if you consistently vote for articles that no one else thinks is good... Uhhh... I think...). Your risk would be on betting that Steem Power does not tank in value making your 100,000 dollars into the value of a reasonably good meal.

Best wishes.

While I appreciate seeing what my voting power is at the moment, because it saves me from looking for it myself, I don't know what you are trying to say.

Do you mean I should vote more or less?

During this initial period, I do about 10 upvotes per day.

If you have some kind of message to send by this graphic, you will have to do it in very plain language, or else, I won't understand you.

I wish you the best of luck sir!

thank you...I figure I'm almost there.

Good look on doing that, here's a vote for you.

I’ve been thinking about this as well. You also should aim to become powerful/influential, so you can affect Steemit’s future.

that comes with SteemPower.

It does, and I hope it largely stays that way.

But I get a bit concerned when I hear (thinly-veiled) marxism presented as a solution for Steemit's ills.

It's funny how Steemit mirrors RL.

socialism is a disease.
disturbed, mentally ill people.
mute them.

Great plan man. So would you not recommend joining one of those guilds where you're part of team & they have a bot (I guess) that just votes on random posts?

no...I would NOT recommend it.
I consider bots to be unethical for purposes of vote harvesting.

If bots & guilds are unethical for vote harvesting, I could say the same thing about voting on your own posts. There are many Steemians who think that practice is unethical. So I don't see how one is worse than the other at this point.

You can say anything you want. You'd still be wrong.
take you old tired ethics and shove them where the sun doesn't shine.
I'll vote or not vote as I please.

"Ya that guy Everittdmickey he's a bit rough around the edges."

A well thought out plan and also appears ripening quite quickly. Good job.

You seemed like you were in a good mood with this post. That's an advanced strategy and tactic. Good post man. I went and did some legwork on where to find the info on voting power, came back to edit my comment, and you had already posted a reply. Awesome stuff. I read how once a user reaches 500 SteemPower, they will then have a slider to change their voting power allocation. Pretty cool.

two places you can track your voting power are:
SteemStats

at SteemNow
note your vote power is truncated on SteemStats...only the last number is showing.
