RE: Think Your Vote Really Counts? Think Again!
The question is not is the election rigged.
The question is : Is it rigged ENOUGH.

Hehehe...I-don't-know...I guess I like Jeff Berwick's idea of "lots-of-government" the most. In fact, 7 billion separate governments. TPTB (the powers that be) are just leaches wanting more power, and use war to achieve that...I may be wrong, but I think I'm right...I'm not voting for anyone...
Here's a thought I've been playing with for a few decades. It came to me in a dream (not really but that sounds cool). Have you ever read The Peace War by Vernor Vinge? I read it while it was serialized in Analog then later when it was published separately. (I have the e-book) and re read it from time to time...also it's sequels and prequels.
The thing that struck me most was that with the advance of technology the power of people increases. For example.
Technology is making individuals richer. Poor people today are richer than rich people were in the past. It's endemic. It happens whether or not the actually DO anything. It's just due to the time they were born. It's more evident is the first world but it's global. (smartphones in the jungles of Africa?)
By many measures a wealthy individual today is the functional equivalent of a nation not too long ago. For example. A wealthy person can buy anything he wants. (rules are for the little guy...Hilliary Clinton is an example...she does what she wants...screw the law). A wealthy person could EASILY buy personal weapons that would completely DESTROY a very large number of soldiers 'back in the day'. Imagine an AK-47 and a large supply of ammo against Santa Anna at the Alamo...or Rorke's drift...or the Spanish Armada....or Thermopalye?
Take that same concept and apply it to ANY technolgy. Communication, transportation, computation. medicine...you name. A rich person today has more power than a NATION did...back in the day.
But nations are MUCH more powerful? True..but nations die. Syria for example, Libya, Venezula, Rhodesia....The British Empire?....They get too big, too Senile...and they collapse.
The power of the individual (in general, on average) continues to increase.
ONE DAY...perhaps not too far in the future...Individuals will be soverign. They will have at their disposal anything, individually, that a government does. For example..the blockChain...and crypto. Imagine what the Nazi's would have given for that technology?
Now a teen can do it in his momma's basement.
So...7billion governments?
Not that much of a stretch.
