RE: Paid Vote BOTS: DOUBLING your INVESTMENT result in a direct LOSS
One day I tried the paid upvoting bots. That learned me that some of us can more easily see if they make money with the vote they bought. At least I think I could.
All 5 times I made a 0.1 SBD bid. I've waited untill the bot voted and then checked the post value. It said 0.16 sbd and 0.04 SP. The lowest pay out was 0.11 sbd + 0.03 SP.
This only works when you don't get to many other upvotes. But I think this is the case for quite some steemonians that use upvoting bots.
That would be a good profit percentage. Could it be the smaller bots have larger profit margins? Could it be SBD values were higher at payout time? Sure is each time-window of a vote bot is different in terms of profit or loss.
To be in honest it could be luck but also because I did my homework.
I watched steembottracker for a while. I had the idea that I could make my bids best at midnight or early morning (I'm in Europe). I tried mainly the biggest bots. And 2-3 times I was watching their wallet up to the last 60 seconds. Which made me decide not to make the bid in 1-2 cases.
Although I made a profit I will not do it again. As it could also result in a loss. And I don't want to spend this much time in the steemit casino.
I actually use my time to investigate you 😀🤔
Yep, when tracking the bots in realtime, one can find the right windows and bots to go for, but nothing guaranteed. I actually watched some of the bots months ago, not with a tracker, but just their steemd and wallets and figured - like you - early morning CET is a good time, but I also saw users coming in with huge bids just before the window end, bids of 50 to 80 SBD, taking away almost all profits.
Now you getting somewhere, or not? hahahaha Hope you like what you discovered :)
We are both in the curation league. I am trying to earn a curation strategy, but so far it doesn't work. I had a look at you cause you were 1 of the top curators for at least 2 weeks in a row.
I discovered you participate in a curation trail. Probably from @curie. I had a look at that website, but the learn more button did not provide a link to a page with more information.
Any other place where I can find it?
Cool, you are in true investigation mode! :) My qsounds account curate for IINC (@illuminati-inc) and I generally vote also with edje account on discovered posts submitted for review. edje is more my active account, and qsounds is my music channel. It may not be entirely fair I'm in abh12345 list, since quite a few posts edje votes for gets a followon curie trail vote when post gets ok-ed in review and subsequently gets the IINC and Curie trail vote. But that said, curie is in his list as well, and that one is the leader of a curation trail.
Thanks for your comprehensive answer!
I also noticed that you receive steem from curie on a weekly basis. Does that relate to curation trail or is it something different?
Thats a payout for the curation team for which we put in about 4 to 5 hours every single day day; not more than Pocket money; So we are doing the curation for the love for music on the Steem blockchain than anything else and we get at least a little compensation :)
Poeh, that's really a lot of time you spend on Steemit.
Do you have a normal day to day job like me? I work approx. 9 hours a day plus 2 hours travel time.
