Very interesting post. I think that infrastructure projects are a good case study for government force, because they are also inmensly inefficient.
A relative of mine won a few road contracts, and he explained how the proposals did not center around the cost of the project. Because the proposals were all 4 or 5 times more then they actually cost to build. The success was in how well you know the committee and how many you could get in your side through bribes.
If infrastructure is privately funded, it will also be much more cost effective and we could build a lot more for less.
