Steemit would be a better place if people realized that a downvote, just like an upvote, is a vote on rewards distribution. Everybody gets a say (if they want) in how your post is rewarded, one way or the other. Your reward isn't yours until the payout. Until then it still belongs to the steem community as a whole. If someone somehow takes it AFTER the payout, then it is theft.
