Steem Is Now In A Very Good Place - Can We Now Do Our Best To Stop Corruption?
Good things in life comes with expiry date, we have done our best to grow this platform and each token baking this amazing platform is now worth much more than what it was a month back. Everything we are rewarded with comes with huge value.
Such good things in life can be sustained only if we can stop it from being misused and mishandled. If we have to see this grow we need to make sure we don't ruin this amazing platform. Time and again we have come across few instances where the system has been misused and this only ruins its credibility.
Plagiarism is another epidemic that's been a concern and will continue to be so, we need a definite way to reward those contributing to the community and not just those who revolve around few whales of steemit.
We need to make sure some genuine content from across lifestyles flows into Steemit, not just abuse as we see around. Lets make steemit a place where we find some amazing content about block chain and its ecosystem, where artists share their work and where travellers tell their stories.
Let us create a place which can replace the dominant centralised social media. Let us encourage free speech, expression of thoughts and feelings. Just remember with money comes greed and with greed comes practices which can ruin everything we have.

So true... Steemit is growing, but it is also very vulnerable to Whales decisions... eveything is incentivized so people hold more power... so people get money in the systems, whales cash's out, and then, they make
that money back with any stupid publication... something most be done in that sense to create a really good community towards awesome content creation...
I think a big problem in Cryptocurrency as a whole is centralization. Originally there was a utopian view where it was a decentralized currency with a level playing field where everyone could create currency by mining, and everyone could own a chunk of the pie. Unfortunately your ability to create currency and to own currency is limited by your current wealth.
Cryptocurrencies are suffering from the exact same problems as fiat. It's very easy to get more currency if you already have a lot of currency while it's very difficult to get more currency if you're starting at the bottom of the ladder. The result is that the people with the most money still control everything and profit the most, while those with little money are getting less exposure and less benefit from the system.
To have a truly "fair" system, all votes would have to carry equal value - Which would go completely against the principles on which Steem was built.

Steem is still young and although we have come along way , their is still more to be done , we can make it the best social media platform out there and help steem grow , am looking forward when steem coin will be valued way more, the best is yet to come so lets do our best to get there
