I live low in a binge-and-purge society,
showing more lives than the Ayatollah Khomeini,
I have been through some shit that nobody would blame me
as if the Devil put a gun to my head and told God to dare me!

I have lived through a coup or 2 in my time,
but it's all just personal and worse than all the crimes...
Should I leave the world in a better state?
Would that mean that I 'd have to think of a better fate?

Twisted brain, I'm insane from all the lies
as the best of our people have been pulling the wool over our eyes,
not shining light on the truth of the situation
but blaming us as if we had anything to do with this nation.

Our eyes are blind, man, and can't you see?
We just want the best that the best can be.
Why do you fault us for wanting more than our parents had?
It's just a little wisp of an attitude that's so sad.

Purging thought, I have sought for more truth
like an Oracle in Ancient Greece in a modern-day Kiosk or Booth,
selling out any and all the secrets they can share
just to make a Buck as they think it is only fair.

I know my rant isn't saintly like the Mother Theresa,
and I so do apologize if my rhyme doesn't please ya,
but another twenty minutes of the lying game
can show me more to persuade me than the truth can gain.

Cleansing moods, the food of a mighty mind...
I know the hand on my shoulder is loving and kind
even if I can't see the face behind the curtain
HIS actions and intentions are pure, that's for certain.

I feel the loving embrace and when I look up it's you,
it was a momentary lapse of thought and I refuse...
to lose my mind again in the blink of an eye,
You have loved me all along and it makes me wanna cry.

Purest love, above all that I can see
that Life is abundant and there's gotta be plenty,
so I shall give my heart to a cause that is concerning
to a soul that is healing and a mind that is just now learning.

My wife's face is the most beautiful I've seen
and she's been through the Hells and the nightmares and the dreams...
I trust her fully in whatever I choose,
and it loosens the knots of a tightening noose.
