This is so sad! any religious obligation that makes you put up with abuse like that is ridiculous, and I do not think any religion really actually believes that. I have heard people use Bible passages like the one referred to above to support abuse like this. I would doubt those people have actually read the Bible if they think thats really God's intention for people.

If you are still in this state, or if this situation is still going on - please don't sit behind this religious guilt - seek out the police and do the right thing...
