But When the world Ends, what next?

Dear blog, you are the only one who cares to listen, I love you because when I write you don't argue. Even when I don't make any sense, you still listen. So here is a quick question- but when the world ends, what will happen to humanity? Does the soul and spirit of the rich stay rich, or will the end of the world lead to soul redemption for poor? Well I asked because I need to know, and I need to know fast.

Nigeria is a country of nearly 200mln people, the available infrastructure in the country that can guarantee equal opportunity to better life of every citizens cannot even serve 3% of the total population and allow for effective competitiveness amongst them. Yet those who control these extremely-tiny resources of ours, won't even make good use of it here at home so as to give the common man something to dream about. Instead, they squander the future of the present generation, with no hope at all for the yet unborns through their ostentatious lifestyles abroad. Living like demigods and demigoddess as if that is the reason the entire universe was created.

Every time I discuss government, Political, social and economic policies with friends, I am always reminded that the policies that ought to have made our country enjoy comparative advantage and move forward into the future that is already present globally, most often than not never made it passed those beautiful A4 papers where the crafters penned them. Well I would say it is wickedness, some of my friends will argue conspiracy at a global level, yeah, I will agree with them. However, two of my closest friends will always disagree with this thought of a 'global conspiracy'. I know if all three of us were having this conversation right now, they would say the world is rather too busy breaking new grounds and setting new mindblowing records, rather than conspire against a country who can't even find their own path even if you gave them a century earlier than man's history.

What then is our problem? Is our population so big that we can't even understand our problems. Or we are so cursed that even our problems seems like a blessing? You know what I don't even wanna know your answer because we might just slide back to where we started from.

Let's twist our topic a little, maybe we will find closure. 'Now that the world is yet to end, what next?' I bet your guess will be as good as mine. For the purpose of clearity these are my 'next' for the country I see. Arms groups will proliferate. We thought Boko Haram was the end of terror, well, guess what, you guessed wrong. The herdsmen already made us to understand that, especially with government fully on their side and the pretence of cluelessness of not knowing who the herdsmen are, etc. For sure new insurgents will rise, and they will commit worse terror to the state and the people. The government will never be able to take them down because that is what they do best- lose and negotiate with terrorists to terrorise the citizens they swore to protect, ironic, right? To further, deepen the controversies and recklessness of the government, billions of naira and even dollars will be signed off to military contracts where everyone who matters will eventually cut their cake of pies without looking back, all in the name of 'national cake' share. For electricity like never before, it will get worst as government like they have always done will concentrate on using power funds to develop their stomach infrastructure rather than the electric infrastructure. Also, in other to make more money, they will claim to have placed the importation of generators under the contraband list, while they turn around to collect more money from the generator importers at the expense of the final users, who at the same time use what they bought with their hard earned money to create a poisonous atmosphere for themselves through the emition of carbon monoxide, and unpleasant noise, and also creating different forms of diseases and depleting the hozon layer in the process. Now that the world is yet to end, police corruption will be higher than ever, prospective candidates with deep pockets and high connections need not apply for police jobs before the get recruited. All that is required from them is the interest to serve (even if they are not willing), combined with the least possible qualifications. Let's talk about leadership! I do feel we should dedicate a full space to talk about where our leadership problem strayed from. Wait, did I just say strayed from? Sorry I mean why we have never had a leadership to man this country since it's creation. For the purpose of this topic let's discuss leadership as we see it. Well, I will say that whatever thing we imagine or know about leadership only exist in the books. No Nigerian have actually experienced true leadership from our acclaimed leaders. The only thing I see about them is their perpetual thirst for power, greed, and the consistent desire to keep grabbing all the grabables. No wonder the country's budget (both national and states) grows yearly, yet deliverable projects and policies declines geometrically. Our leadership system is such that makes followership sheepish and disgraceful. Nigeria remains one of the most stupid countries whose leaders' foreign policies is such that satisfies the interest of the foreigners at the expense of the citizens who voted them in poor. Global powers and smart economies will enter into multiple international relations with only one goal in mind- what is in it for our citizens, and hope what we will give in return will not be higher than what you are giving us? It's so funny, when the motto of international relations reads '... permanent interest' only. Nigeria's foreign relations motto reads 'no permanent interest, only permanentnent enemies and friends'. As narrow as employees and employers' exchange across countries is, when compared to other international affairs among countries, you will get the picture of how unguided and ineffective our foreign relations policies and laws are, gush! so retarded. Police corruption is actually a scratch when compared to the decadence in our judiciary system. Despite our yearly budgets, everything is underfunded or unfunded, hence judicial cases last forever before justice is served.

Damn, I feel like I haven't written anything yet, however, enough to make this piece boring. Afterall, majority of Nigerians prefer to comedise our problems on social media platforms so as to not see it as a big deal. Let's draw the curtain, here. But remember, '...when the world ends what next?' is yet to be answered. Honestly, I don't know the answer myself. Maybe our spiritual leaders can direct us to what we should expect. But wait! Can we really trust our spiritual leaders for guidance?
