Voice.com Domain Sales Price Revealed!
A few weeks ago I posted about Voice and Block.one's acquisition of the domain Voice.com. It's a killer domain name and as such everyone in the domain industry has been dying to know the sales price! What could it have sold for?!
People have been speculating based on the quality of the name and the seller (MicroStrategy Incorporated) who owns an incredible portfolio of domain names. 7 Figures has been the consensus view on what this domain sold for but with no specifics.... until now.
It became public knowledge just the other day what Block.one paid for this domain!
Before I tell you what the price is, I just want to say that this sale is a new record. This domain is now the biggest publicly reported all cash domain sale... ever! The sales price more than doubled the previous record which was held by Sex.com when it last sold in 2010.
So, what was the price?!?!

Yep... Voice.com sold for $30 Million Dollars!
Just incredible. I am blown away by this sale for so many reasons. One, the amount of money and spending power that Block.one has. Two, what this means for the domain industry... clearly setting new records like this is great for all quality domains! A rising tide as they say...
And three, what this means for the future of crypto, blockchain, social media, etc. when a single company is willing to spend this kind of money for incredibly powerful branding and marketing with a killer domain.

Totally man! Domains have proved to have amazing ROI but obviously it depends on the name, quality, etc. I always think if only I had gotten in early... if you could time travel back and register all the great domain names for next to nothing. Not unlike buying BTC when it was pennies! Appreciate the comments @senstless and I'm sorry I missed you when you were visiting, maybe next time!
