MY VOCAB PRACTICE:
- Ordained Buddhist monks and nuns are able to read sacred religious texts in Sanskrit and Pali.
- In the old Biblical testament, a sacrifice often in the form of a lamb was offered before God.
- Cursing in profanity at religious sites is an act of sacrilege to God.
- The presence of the Pope to consecrate the crowd during Easter was a sight to behold.
- Many holy sites were desecrated at the height of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
