MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Continue
    If we continue to work hard and persevere and try as much as possible not to give up, we'll attain success.
  2. Intensify
    The heat in the gas chambers will continue to intensify unless we add heat absorbers around its wall.
  3. Superintendent
    Our superintendent urged us not give in but to fight to the end.
  4. Contention
    It is my contention that more work load would be a burden on the workers.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. He decided to continue his studies at university instead of getting a job.

  2. The DJ turned up the volume to intensify the sound.

  3. The superintendent of the lifeguards ensured all new recruits were put through rigorous training.

  4. Theresa May's deal is a source of fierce contention in Parliament.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Continue doing what you do best.

  2. You will intensify his anger if you keep provoking him.

  3. The school hired a new Superintendent after firing the last one.

  4. The two brothers just couldn’t get along they always have contention among themselves.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. The weather forecast of a hot day seems to be wrong as it has continue to rain since morning.
  2. Inspite of his broken wrist, he needs to intensify his effort at pulling that cart if he wishes to get paid today.
  3. It was with great displeasure that I submitted my complaints at the office of the superintendent of police at my district due to his corrupt nature.
  4. Dwelling on frivolities would not generate any solution to this problem, we should focus on the issue of contention.

"MY VOCAB PRACTICE."

  1. Continue.
    The congresswoman asked the witness to continue, after the protesters interrupted the hearing were asked to leave.

  2. Intensify.
    The protesters' jeers only seemed to intensify and could still be heard in the hearing room, even after they were escorted out by security.

  3. Superintendent.
    The superintendent was thankful for the break in questioning after the outburst by protesters.

  4. Contention
    After being questioned, the witness said it was his contention that he did nothing wrong and was justified in his actions.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. If you continue working hard you will succeed.
  2. We need to intensify our training ahead of the game.
  3. He is a superintendent in the police.
  4. The point of contention was how to share the properties.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. The junior staffs were encouraged to continue putting in more effort in their jobs.

  2. The police superintendent has called for a meeting with all junior inspectors.

  3. The contention between the two neighbours would have stopped if someone had intervened

  4. Our coach said that we would have one last training to intensify our strategy.


Good work! Why is it always the junior staffers who are told to put in more effort???

    He wanted to continue the trip even if it was raining for 3 days in a row.

  2. intensify
    His character started to intensify after he won the fight with cancer.

  3. superintendent
    This board had the power to appoint a college director and a superintendent of instruction.

  4. contention
    Yet, the latest contention was about inheritance, no way about love.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Continue:
    Because I commented "I don't want to be here," I've developed a sickness.

  2. Intensify:
    We are going to intensify the happiness and joy centers of your brain so that you will be living a life compliant with your dreams.

  3. Superintendent:
    If you're going to be a dick, Superintendent Charles, we will be buying or groceries elsewhere.

  4. Contention:
    I'm working on being less contentious with myself.
