  1. Dissolve.
    The recipe calls for the sugar to be dissolved with water and honey over medium heat in a small saucepan before adding it to the meat.

  2. Absolve.
    As part of faith, it is compulsory for Catholic Christians to go on confession to be absolved of their sins.

  3. Absolute.
    He doesn’t want to let go until he has received an absolute response from his query regarding the whereabouts of his family.

And thanks for the interesting fact about dissolving sugar, which I did not know. But, in fact, I dissolved it in heat when making fudge, years ago.
