I love the fact that you emphasized that accuracy is better than creativity, as we have a lot of people who are creative but not accurate with their sentence constructions.

I am happy I came across your blog. I hope to improve my vocabulary here. Thanks so much for this opportunity.

Therefore, I proofread and re-read every post any number of times, checking for errors. It's a never-ending process, but the good thing is that almost all of my posts are error-free.

Modification of a comment I left for another answer:

Annihilate implies enormous force being used against an enemy/territory/opponent. Buildings don't sufficiently resemble enemies/territories/opponents.

Annihilation is by far the most common of all forms of the word annihilate , which is why I opted for that particular form. The verb annihilate normally refers to the complete destruction of a large object or group of people, but a new fashion has arisen of using annihilate to mean "completely defeat someone in an argument or debate (through superior logic, mastery of all relevant facts etc."

annihilate, nihilism, nil, nihilist

  1. He vowed to wage a war of annihilation against his country's enemies.

  2. Materialism ultimately leads to nihilism and a total rejection of the necessity for moral standards.

  3. Although their initial demands seem quite reasonable, we must realize that they are part of a larger nihilist agenda.

  4. Although he was a far more productive scientist, discussion of his many accomplishments has been almost nil .
