The One Pillar pagoda

In Ha noi - Vietnam there is a special pagoda. It is One Pillar pagoda.

The One Pillar pagoda was built since 1049 by Lý Thái Tông king with the name is Dien Huu (long-lasting happiness). In 1955, it was restored and maintained to now.

The One Pillar pagoda look like a large Lotus tree rising out the water. It has a square shape, each side is 3m, wooden structure, roof is by tiles, four conners was bent. Inside the pagoda, there is the statue of Buddha Quan Yin.

The unique thing of the One Pillar pagoda in HaNoi is that it was built on a stone Pilar high 4m. Pilar has 1.2m diameter, include 2 stone blocks attached. Around the pilar, there are wooden supports the temple.

The One Pillar pagoda is also reflecting the values ancient culture and national identity of Việt Nam.
