RE: MEETING THE NEIGHBORS IN LLANES | The Roving Vlogger Day 10 (2017-10-09)
My rubbernecking curiousity is a struggle as well. I think I play it by ear well though. Today I walked past some old Vietnamese men playing a game that looked a bit like giant trekkers and ended up talking to one of the old men, we both took selfies with each other, and tried to find one another on facebook... All with about a total of five actual "words" understood. Your chocolate bar is funny. I can see the commercial now.... "...Well now you can have both great tastes!!!"
I let my social anxiety get in the way too much. It usually takes the other person giving me a clear indication that they're willing to talk, even though I know my fear means I miss out on so much and end up looking even more awkward.
Love that you're able to make instant besties with old men, haha. It's crazy how far you can get with just a few words. Yesterday, a Moroccan guy found out I know computers and had me troubleshoot a problem on his Facebook page - not an easy thing to do when I couldn't even read the language in his app!
