They say that the secret to all-day energy lies in boosting your morning activity. Also being an early bird is very contributive to your overall physical and mental health. The earlier you get into your jogging shoes, the merrier.

I know the late risers among you would love to run away now - theoretically :-)

C'mon, don't be a grinch and surf with me!

Monday kick-off

What if the first meeting scheduled in your today's agenda was a surf session with me?

This is not just about personal preference. There are many reasons why getting up and moving your body first thing in the morning is benefitial to your health.

Here are some advantages of being an early bird sportsperson:

  1. Enhance your metabolism: Early birds are great fat burners! That's due to EPOC: Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption.
  2. Cultivate consistency: People that exercise in the evening tend to interrupt their sports agenda from time to time due to other commitments. But who's gonna date you at 6am? No one, right! :-)
  3. Improve physical and mental energy: Engaging in morning workouts is like an all-natural cup of coffee. It has been scientifically shown that early activity improves focus and mental abilities all day long. Exercise is not only able to wake up your body but also your mind.
  4. Develop self-discipline: If you manage to constantly get up early and start to power right away, that type of discipline is likely to spill over into other areas of your life.
  5. Get better sleep: After having done a nice morning sports session, your body will enjoy a pleasing sense of fatigue at the end of the day. Then you'll be ready to sleep soundly.
  6. Be happy: Exercise has been touted as a cure for just about anything that ails us. The correlation between physical workout and a balanced (happy) mind have been even scientifically proven. You are depressed, exhausted, unmotivated or unimaginative? Sports may help you to quickly overcome any of these obstacles.

Hab mich schon gewundert, warum bis jetzt keiner was zur Schleichwerbung gesagt hat. Das Glas hab ich ja zugegeben mit Absicht etwas provokant ins Bild gestellt. Keine Sorge, das frühstücke ich maximal einmal pro Woche (sonntags). Sonst: Cerealien, frisches Obst und Joghurt.

Na mal sehen ob es hier auf der Insel Rapunzel gibt, ich wage es zu bezweifeln :-)

Haha, falling off is part of the game. My right foot was knocked by my board during that crash and is blue coloured now - side effects of surfing :-))

Wow! If I'd live where you live, with those beaches and blue skies, I'd wake up early too every morning to enjoy the beauty of nature all day long!!
