Vlog day 3 - Deadlines and Inspiration
Woke up this morning refreshed.
Not that I went to bed early or anything, but yesterday was one of those days where I got a lot of the darkness out of my head. Like some strange buildup that needs to be cleaned... the ups and downs of my life.
But, anyways. This morning started with a message from someone that kicked me out of my stupor. It reminded me of something I had set for myself. A deadline. And it's a pretty hard deadline regarding some pretty important things for me. I miss it and, well...watch the video :) Thanks for being patient as I figure out this whole Vlog thing!
Today's VLOG is about deadlines and inspiration.
Another day in the life of a crazy creative. Thanks for dropping by and watching! Would love to hear what you think I should show about me and my life here in LA!
Happy Saturday!

Holding to schedules is an important motivator. However, I’m don’t believe scheduling a deadline for our dreams should be part of that. There must be a better tactic, especially given the glimpses of talent you share on Steemit. Granted, I’m new here and your works are new to me as well… but I see talent. You can't put a deadline on talent.
Hehe, true. But you can put a deadline on how much funds you want to spend on a project before it gets out of hand. Been at it for almost 10 years. Nothings connected yet. So, this deadline is focusing me. Because, when it's up, it's really up. Talent isn't on a deadline, my money is.
I can’t say you’re wrong. But, I feel you need to find a way to hold to your vision. In fact, I was just watching a video that seems to speak to your dilemma

Gonna have to watch that while I eat lunch. The thing is, if I can't pay rent, I can't continue to pursue a dream. If I had work, I'd follow my passion until the ends of the earth...I just can't get work.
Dichotomy of the starving artist…
Yeah, trying to be less of the starving bit. Think I'm good on moral character now, hehe.
You and me both!
lololol :)
Nice spot to vlog from, love seeing street art like that - often in the UK spray art gets sandblasted off or painted over which I think is a shame some of it can be quite incredible to look at - and brighten up otherwise dull areas. I'm no help with stuck in a rut, probably as guilty of that as anyone. I suppose what I would do in your situation is make a list of what I wanted to achieve moving forward - the goals to aim for. Then look at your unique skills that you have to move you towards them and what you can apply those skills to moving forward - maybe you have been looking so hard in one direction you missed other things passing the other way. One funny story I remember, a few years back a couple came to look at my coffee roasting machines, they ran a successful Wedding Photography business that had made them alot of money - they made no effort to hide it and said they would have kept doing it - but being at Weddings with drunk, often aggressive families where some relations on either side always seemed to rub each other up the wrong way was hell. So they got out of that, and went into coffee roasting instead - I doubt they will make anywhere near as much money - but surely they are happier in the work now. Stay safe my friend.
