Today's Problems: When Do Things Get Better?
If you watch the news today, it's mostly negative and intended to make you fearful and even angry. Sometimes you might be thinking to yourself, "When do things get better?" How the American corporate media operates is designed to increase viewership and money. When I watch the news from time to time, I see it as fake and entertaining (instead of the mainstream press, it's mainstream entertainment).
The entertainment factor is something news networks (cable, establishment, etc.) put in to increase ratings and make a profit. If you're watching the impeachment hearings (or the presidential debates- ugh!), it's nothing but a bunch of political theater garbage. I see part of it set up to get people to think of it as necessary. Regardless of the outcome, the case for impeaching the president will not have a meaningful impact on people's lives.
As we head into the holiday season (2019), there are good reasons to be positive and optimistic about what the future holds. It may not be so bright politically. Still, in other areas, including health and wealth, it has gotten so much better over time in the digital age and technological developments. It's easier to get a blog up and running than it was 10-15 years ago (it takes less than a day). If you have a smartphone and want to showcase your talents, you can download the Youtube app and start a channel within minutes. Learn how to make videos and search for an audience that will be attracted to you over time.
Also, you can offer freelance services to people looking for contractors, as well. Download the freelance apps such as Fiverr, you set up an account and start selling your services in as little as five minutes. If you're not good at selling, then learn how to get better at so that way, you will never go hungry. These are just a few examples you can get your foot in the door right now. You may get the results today, but if you put the time and effort to do your best, you will see the results you want down the road.
Even with today's problems lingering, things are getting much better. As Jason Stapleton talked about in a recent episode from his podcast, it is easier and cheaper to start a business (online) today than at any time in history. There are no excuses for you to put off your interests and passions. The time to improve your conditions and invest in yourself is not in three months, in one year, or six years.
