~10 minutes is definitely a good middle ground.
I noticed that it mainly tho depends on the content. Some videos just shouldn't be longer than 3-5 minutes, but some videos you would love to see 20+ minutes.
(TV shows usually have 40 minutes)
Depends how well you can create story, provide value and entertain.
#my2cents :)
Great to know! @steemcafe and I tend to get drunk and blabber on for about 50 minutes.....I guess we need to get drunk first, and THEN turn the camera on for 15 mintues.
Lol A 50 minute VLOG would be a little long yes, but you guys are great on camera!
Whoa. I dont just get drunk. I get really drunk. Hahaha
This is actually something I’ve been wondering about lately! Most of my vlogs are between 7-10 minutes and I’ve been worried they are too long. I think I like the idea of getting them down closer to 5, but good to hear I’m not too far off base! 😊
Thank you for this video I think it going to help improve and solve the problems I was facing on dtube
Interesting and valueable post. Keep it up.
Thank you for the valuable information, I will love to start vloging ;)
For video from my personal experience as a watcher I believe betwen 3 and 5 minute could be a great ratio :)
I think the trick is to avoid fluff. Personality is good, but some people overdo it. Information and energy level are the keys.
Interesting post. Thanks for share @joeparys
Thank you @joeparys. Got a quick question. You could have said what you said in 5 mins or in 45 seconds. Is it generally a rule of thumb that the shorter the better (given same content - ie more efficient words vs more flowery talk)?
Because there's probably a bit of an inverse correlation between efficient vs entertaining?
12 minutes is the target all the major networks are exploring for their web series. Interesting how that almost right between what you recommend a good YouTube video should be.
