Vlog 081 - Do Love And Poverty Mix

I have been reading many classic self-help books recently and I must say I am enjoying them. But something I read last night got me thinking.

I have just started “The Science Of Getting Rich” and there was a passage that stated, “To fully live in soul, man must have love; and love is denied expression by poverty.”

When I first read that I was a little upset. I thought that the author was saying poor people can’t experience love. But when I took a step back, I realized that he was talking about the expression of love.

But then I thought that expressing love for someone or something does not merely mean buying them things. I used to think that, but now I am not so sure.

Currently, I have very little money. Yet I tell Jennifer that I love her every day. And I know that she feels my sincerity. But I also feel bad at times because I can’t provide for her the way that I want to.

Reading this passage in the book has really forced me to take a long hard look at myself and the things I have done up until now. Maybe that was just the thing I needed to get me moving in the right direction.
