You should check out the show called Black Mirror. There's an episode that has a feature similar to virtual porn where people have implant that allow them to record their visual and audible memory and play it back at any point in time. Even if that particular episode doesn't tickle your fancy, the entire series is an awesome twilight zone-esque dystopian future/present with some interesting critiques about the capabilities of our tech!
I LOVE black mirror, never seen the virtual porn one though, is that series 3? I have not started series 3 yet
Not really virtual porn, but it's a similar concept. It's the S.1 episode called The Entire History of You. Check it out!
In the meantime, I definitely see where you're coming from with the concern. And @craig-grant is right. Porn was a major innovator in terms of most tech development, from film and audio quality, to medium platforms. But on the bright side, people who aren't interested it will be the ones most likely to pass on genetic material. Humans can handle that level of tech, I'm sure.
