THE TRAUMA OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHILDREN!!

“She cries all night, nobody cares about her. It is either the chair is thrown against the wall, or the TV is broken out of rage of both parents”.

That is a synopsis of a story with a girl whose parents are always fighting, it is not the normal kinds of argument couples experience. It has to do with each couple yelling at themselves on the top of their voice, afterwards they throw objects or whatever is suitable to their mood at that moment.

Domestic violence is as bad as giving a child a scar, a wrong mindset about another world different from the immediate family. It causes more damages to the children.

The community we belong to as a whole, lay much emphasize on domestic violence with its effect commonly on women, people tend to forget that children too can be a partaker of this effect.

It is domestic violence when you assault your child, whether he/she is wrong. This doesn’t mean that children should not be punished, it is very wrong to assault a child to the point of giving such child scars.

A child who was molested by parent or guardian would find it difficult to trust such people again.

School
The environment

Dangers
Brings about lack of confidence in the child, because she has always believed she has never done anything good.
It affects the child psychological
It causes fear and withdrawn attention whenever the child is at home, school or with guardian.

Children should be cared and treasured, it helps them grow and feel loved
Domestic violence makes them feel hated, stop the trauma.
