Just some Managarmr Madness on ARK tonight

We had a lot of fun last night and well into the morning playing some ARK. There was no real focus at the start but we ended up focusing on two specific tames.

The Velonasaur

After going to the desert to find us a velonasaur, my buddy said it was an easy area to tame two of them quickly and we'd be good to go. After about an hour or two, we finally got the two we wanted tamed. It ended up being not so easy as we struggled fighting off a horde of Dimetrodons, Thorny Dragons, a few Carno's and a Rock Golem but it was fun! I think this game is on a higher level of difficulty than most games, especially when we set out to tame a few Managarmr's because they are super cool.

Managarmr

We went over to the snow biome and found many Managarmr's. It was the first time I've seen one in action. They are like giant ninja's that jump from fight to fight, literally pissing off every dino in the area. They are fast, and they die even faster after pissing everything off they literally fight to the death without ever stopping to recover health.

Then we ran into a few that were stuck in the air. Just floating, so we decided to tame it in mid air and it worked! Once unconscious, it didn't even fall to the ground but it was no easy tame. This included game crashes which lead to a few deaths but we weren't done. We wanted more and lost a max level 150 and a 140 to pissed off dino's. It was quite an adventure, so we're going out there again to get some more. I guess my other posts are just going to have to wait -- I am having way too much fun gaming right now.

Next week Studio Wild Card, the makers of ARK, have a sister company that will be releasing a game called "Atlas" which is basically a pirate game and everyone is on the same server, much like EVE Online, up to 40,000 players, so I suspect a lot of mayhem and will have to check that out, so stay tuned! Some of my other posts are just going to have to wait, but I will make time soon!
