They started after SteemQ ( original name of Viewly - @Furion one of the developers and visionary behind Viewly created it - SteemQ ).

We moved on from SteemQ and became Viewly.

Dtube has a nice interface on top of Steemit and it has its merits and also using IPFS.

we are looking further then that in the sense that we aim to offer multiple monetization options , plus DTube takes 25% in fees and has a 7 day limit ( i am not aware if that has changed, if it has please let me know and I apologize. Is it a platform ? Yes , on top of Steemit.

Again, I am not bashing DTube , the developers have made a pretty good job and they are continuing to do so. DTube has it's utility and I applaude that.

There is a big market, most importantly content creators can pick and choose one platform or the other and even use all of the platforms.

Imagine this: Viewly will be much more than a platform, our vision is much more then this. You mentioned DTube, they are successful why .. because they already have users.

Happy crypto free people use steemit , it makes sense they will use DTube, they already have people using the platform so it makes sense they would also use DTube.

Now you are limited in how you monetize your content so how far you are you going to take your videos it's up to you as a content creator.
