In the narration he mentions it's shooting off of a quartz mirror, so it's probably aimed away from the launch and filming a reflection off of quartz, which can withstand really high temperatures. I imagine the back of the housing (facing the blast) is extremely strong/thick.
I wonder ! On the launch pad of the spaceport , a very high temperature , and this camera can withstand such loads ?!!!
