SC-S26W4/ Transitions, animations and visual effects

Hello friends, thanks for visiting my blog, anyways this is my first time participating in the tutorial. I must say the tutorial has been awesome, a big kudos to anailuj1992 I have always loved this class but I've just been a bit occupied to give it a shot but guess what? I'm glad I'm making my first entry into this contest... I hope you enjoy every bit of it. So let's get right into this week's lesson.

This week, we were taught Transitions, animation and visual effects which I found quite interesting. I really want to work on the video project of an outreach we just concluded and then I realized I could use some of the things taught here to work on the project. So I decided to get down to work.

Animation

---

I started with my Animation which gives life to a project, making it look visually appealing. Below is the procedure of getting it done.

Step 1: I clicked on the video I want to animate and then on animation in the video just as highlighted in the image above

Step 2: I chose from the list of animation it brought out for me. I chose the first one which is 3D phone but when I discovered it wasn't free I then switched to Retro Fade just as seen above and adjusted to about 7.4 sec. You will see the outcome in the final output of the video.

Transition

I also worked on my transition using the same method our teacher taught us. By the way, I combined quite a number of videos and pictures to make this awesome piece which of course needed a nice transition effect for easy flow. Below is the step I took in applying it.

Step 1: I clicked the highlighted area which marks the end of one video before the other.

Step 2: I chose to stay on overlay and then pick one of the transition effect called Montage snippet which of course is free.
The third image there shows that the transition effect has been successfully applied and of course I applied to all just as seen, you can tell with the capcut logo I highlighted.

Filter

I also decided to apply the filter effect to some of my line ups, there are some videos and images I took which were not really very bright, I applied on them and on some others I wanted to brighten and illuminate. The steps can be clearly seen below in two areas of video.

Step 1: Click on the image or the part of your video you want to use the filter on and then locate the filter option.

Step 2: choose from the list of filters you will like to use, as for me, I chose the lumino option and then applied it to my video. You can as well adjust the parameter below the filter chosen to determine it intensity.

After experimenting the things taught by our teacher this week, I decided to try some of the other things that had been treated previously by our teacher and that include Speed, Text, sound etc Just to make the video more appealing.

Speed

With the speed effect, you can either make your video fast , very fast or even slow depending on whatever you really want to achieve. For me, I did both, I made a part of my video slow and another part fast using the same method. Below is the part where I reduced the speed to give it a slow mode effect. The step for it application is as seen below

Step 1: Click on the video you want to apply your speed effect on, locate your speed icon just as highlighted in the image above

Step 2: I clicked on the Normal option on my interface and then then proceeded to adjusted the parameter lower than 1x on my interface.

Audio

So I decided to actually use a audio (song) instead of a typical voice over just to give my video a kind of feel that appeals to the emotion. The lyrics of the song clearly communicates how much God has helped us in making the outreach a huge success. Hence the reason for the song chosen for this video. The step is as shown below.

Step 1: I clicked on the "add audio" option on my interface just as highlighted in my image above.

Step 2: I then clicked on the file manager icon just as seen in my second image which then led me to the place where I picked the particular file I needed for the project.
It automatically comes on the video.

Text

---

I introduced my text in the beginning of my video to give my viewers something like a title of what they are about to watch so they can have an idea upfront. Below is the step I used in achieving it.

Step 1: I clicked on the add text option on my interface, and then began to choose from the text effects that was given to me. I ended up settling for the one highlighted.

Step 2: I ensured I had my text clearly written, I also enlarged my interface using the icon I highlighted in with a circle shape the second image. It help me maximize the text function. The result will be seen in the finished work below.
