RE: Can you eat snow for survival - yes and no - learn more

in #video7 years ago (edited)

I find it peculiar that Reid is posting an article about eating snow at the end of winter, beginning of spring.

Not very relevant or timely.

But alas, Reid has a history of being a day late and a dollar short.

At the end of summer last year,
Reid made a video about his new "outside summer kitchen" under the overhang roof of the double wide trailer he lives in....up until last fall that is.

He placed his portable camping stove on a table outside.
This event was only shown once.

He also cuts his firewood on an as needed basis, during the winter.
There is no drying or curing involved.

Two years ago, Reid built a "greenhouse" at the end of fall in PineBush, NY.
He attempted to "winter" plants from his failed garden,
start an aqua-ponics fish tank using store bought gold fish, using a Jerry-rigged wood burning hydronic stove.
Spoiler Alert: everything froze while he was in Michigan on vacation looking for a place to move with the final goal to abandon the Pine Bush property.

Last fall he attempted to build a "greenhouse" on top of his septic tank next to the chalet.
He moved potted plants there and other misc items.
Reid films the ground more times than not,
so it is not clear whether or not he finished this project and if anything was protected over the winter.

He told me today he bought an electric snowthrower last year,
(which he showed buried in a snow bank yesterday)
but he is saving money and solar power by not using it.
That means.....he is about $200 dollars short.

Don't send Troy Reid money.
He'll just blow it on capacitors, a drone, or a wireless microphone....
never to be seen or used again.

Sort:

WTF would you buy an electric snow blower when you’re supposed to be off grid?
Thought one of Old Trog’s side jobs was a small engine repair man!
Everything about this Cagey Turd is 100% shite!
