If there's one thing that Israel is not, it's a unified and balanced nation. It might come to many as a surprise to learn that on top of the genetic evidence from Israel's own universities that many alleged 'jews' in Israel are not genetically Jews at all - but that the orthodox Jews who keep to their book - the Torah - actively reject the entire idea of the nation of Israel and say that those who support Israel are going against God!
According to the Torah and the orthodox Jewish groups, the Jewish people are to stay in exile until their Messianic age comes to Earth.
Aliyah, the Hebrew word meaning "ascending" or "going up", is the word used to describe religious Jewish return to Israel, and has been used since ancient times - though as you can read on the Wikipedia page for 'Anti-Zionism', the word and idea has been open to interpretation, leading to a split among the religion's followers.
Some are so opposed to the Zionist formation of the nation of Israel that the regularly, openly burn the Israeli flag.

Well, @ura-soul here we are again and your subject is a different sort of health. Both the Jewish Encyclopedia and the late Arthur Koestler pointed out the ethnic and racial origins of many who call themselves "Jews."
I have known, at least, two dozen Sabras who migrated to the U.S. All admitted it was to escape persecution by the Ashkenazim.
I cannot say that the Tenach agrees with all these conclusions and Orthodox teachers. Still, they have been fairly consistent about this for decades.
I see, thanks for your comment. The topic of people leaving Israel to escape persecution is not one I have any figures for or that comes up much in conversation on the topic. I'd be interested to get that data in a larger scale format.
Israel is Jewish reaction to modernity. The rejection of mythology replaced by ethno-nationalism.

What we can reasonably assume from a modern perspective: that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are false in their assertions especially when it comes to cosmology and historical accuracy. Yet, Trumps first mode of operation was to go to Islam, Judaism, and The Pope in his first public trip.......This is very strange behaviour for a modern secular state!
Personally, I hold Christian Gnostic views on this issue which, IMO, explains all of this in-congruency in a coherent manner. It's one of only a few religious narratives which makes any sense out of the 3500 year old religious tradition.......
My awareness is that all humans embody reflections of the state of being of the spirit that manifests in matter at the moment of their individuation away from the unity of 'god' or 'the one'. They (we) may all evolve, but some individuated in moments where the internal reality of 'the one' was not balanced and thus major problems arose for us. This dymamic also allows for some of us to connect to spiritual light that is highly unloving while others may connect to pure love - which explains the existence of a spectrum of experiences being attributed to 'god' - ranging from enlightening compassion, through to total barbarism!

We humans are complex creatures, to be sure. This is not the first time I have heard that Orthodox Jews were against occupying Israel and all the killing that goes on because of it.
It is so hard for me to understand how the US sends so much money and weapons to that region when so much good could be done to help the poor and starving everywhere with those same dollars.
The leaders of 1st world countries have an agenda, of course, but why don't their people see through the lies? Why do they not see the harm that is caused on a daily basis by these unnecessary wars? And why do we not hear the word "peace" anymore? Sad times, for sure.
Thanks for your comment here. The denial and heartlessness that underpins all human dysfunction is epidemic currently and as such it is heartlessness that we see at almost every turn.
The agendas of these 'political tacticians' are not even remotely humane, they are typically at best just to empower themselves as much as possible and at worst to actively kill as many humans as possible as part of a depopulation agenda that also ensures their own continued position at the top of an artificial pyramid.
The people are so brainwashed and in denial themselves that they will throw all their resources at 'mega churches' so that their 'pastor' can own multiple million dollar jets and they will do so while supporting Israel due to a tenuous link to an Old Testament in their bible. Meanwhile a big part of the real agenda is to simply empower a (temporary) Allie which can act as a military power center in the quest for oil and global control. In short, many are so delusional that they will support people who (aren't dark skinned) regardless of their agenda - as long as there's a chance that some of those with dark skin might be murdered. :/
Israel is a parasitic presence in someone else's home. Should be dismantled, and those who believe in it sent back to whence they came. Those who reject it are free to stay as they always were amongst their Arab Muslim cousins.
