Camera System Overview of DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone - PLUS example 4K FootagesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #video7 years ago (edited)

Recently in september I shot some high resolution areal video footage in Valle Verzasca near the village Sonogno in Switzerland

I used my DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone

It is recorded in 4K @ 60 fps:

This quadrocopter is really a awesome peace of technology and the video quality of the camera which includes an 20 Mp 1-inch CMOS sensor with mechanical shutter and iris is really awesome.

Further information about the copter you can find here: https://steemit.com/quadrocopter/@viphh2017/dji-phantom-4-pro-with-2-extra-batteries

and of course at the DJI homepage: https://www.dji.com/phantom-4-pro

About the location:

Valle Verzasca near the village Sonogno in Switzerland is famous for its beautiful nature and the gorgeous river with clear turquoise water everywhere. Further information about the location and two small travel review you can find here:

Hope you enjoyed this small video post. I strongly recommend to visit Switzerland and especially Valle Verzasca in the Locarno district of the Canton of Ticino, you will definitely not regret it.

I will also post some more DJI Phantom 4 Pro videos of this years summer holiday shoot on other places in Switzerland and especially Italy (Tuscany), so stay tuned!

this is a work that is supported with a sophisticated tool that will produce a very good I am happy to see it

I always wanted to buy a drone but i feel like i would crash that thing in an instant lol.
How long did it take you to learn how to fly it?

I'm flying drones for several years now, but it's really not that complicated to fly this kind of drones, because the have so much stabilization and security features included that you need only some hours of practice to shoot yourself awesome footage. The key here is to make all movements very slow and the moves you have messed up you have to cut out afterwards in the SW :-)

I figured there was some sorta handicap for new users. :P
I was thinking about buying them mini drones and flying those lol

Do it man! It is a enrichment of perspective in my opinion and also a lot of fun.

It's probably cheap... its tiny drone not equipped with a camera but id love to spend the money for one :)

Excellent Video and editing. Did you use any filters while filming or is this simply the stock camera?

We recently started using a P4P in some of our filming for an upcoming video and it is absolutely amazing what can be done. Keep up the good work.

Thanks a lot! I used the stock camera without filters but did some minor post production regarding color grading with davinci resolve, which is available also in a very good freeware version. For 4K@60fps you need a really good PC and GPU with this program, so right now I'm waiting for the new GPU card :-)
