Hehe. Sort of. But the difference is that in Europe there aren't any cops. So there's pretty much go ahead for rapists, gropings, burning cars, assault people etc. But..I suppose we Europeans have always been like that... :) aehm!
You must be referring to our mentally retarded neighbours - formerly known as swedes - inventors of what used to be the best country on earth. Yes, of course their "not rape me" bands are working! blank stare
That's what happens when you lose your moral compass, your values and your culture. Culture MUST exist, and if you don't integrate people into yours, they will integrate you into theirs :)
The interviewer is a douche-canoe, but him asking a question should never constitute him being put in cuffs. I'm honestly surprised that the cop didn't even bother with any Public Intoxication charges on the women and one guy that got offended by those two questions.
Also, speaking of that one other guy, fuck him! He's the poster boy for a beta-male punk that was laughing along when it the topic was Hillary Clinton, but then only got "mad" over the "Are you a mom?" question when the other girls got upset over it. He looks like EXACTLY the kind of guy who would ask that question too, but he was probably focused on trying to get lucky later on that night.
Exactly, man! Shit, if that interviewer were smart, he would've stopped after they made a big deal about the Hillary Clinton thing. If they react like that after being asked, "What do you think about Hillary Clinton," they're going to be rats and narc on you to the nearest government agent.
Meh...being a douche is not funny to me. This guy was being a nuisance and about to start trouble. If you could not tell the black guy was about to step up but the cop just saved his ass by hauling him off. Now he want's to try and play victim a cry about free speech. Cops are not that sensitive to arrest someone for calling someone else a Mom. But because she took such offense to it that was all he needed to get that guy out of there before he was having to break up a street beating instead.
Seriously, do you want a society where people are arrested because others are OFFENDED? So you were against the enlightenment era then? Because the priests and churches was offended by progressive people? No, you can't have both ways. With free speech comes the right to offend and the right to be offended. If we start messing with that, we might as well just accept Sharia law. But I almost suspect that's what these "rebellious" snowflakes really want :D
He even said they let him go. They only detained him. They did not book him! The officer was only getting him out of there to keep the drunks from turning into a mob against this little prick acting like a jerk to the girls. He is actually lucky because he put his hands on the one girl. Which could have been charged as sexual assault. I am NOT one of these who runs around getting offended at every little thing. I am not for all these crybaby ass millennials who can't handle the real world. The officer was simply using that as an excuse to diffuse a situation that was NOT about to end well for this little douche bag. He should be thanking the officer for saving his ass from a few stitches and medical bills.
Again. He even says he was released...which means he was not actually charged with anything OR booked. He was rescued from his own stupidity by these officers. Freedom of speech means you can say whatever you want NOT act however you want.
Where does he say that? link? And it doesn't seem like a very tense situation to me. The cop asks; "were you offended by that?" she says yes, and the cops says; "Ok,turn around" in a casual way - like this is just regular procedure. And I love the fact that they use "white boy" in the beginning there. Imagine calling a black person "boy" :D
Time marker 1:15 - black guy is in his face taunting him about being on camera with body language that indicates trouble as the girls start to get physical.
Time marker 2:40 - he says "anyways, they eventually released me" not the booked me or held me overnight. he was only pulled from a situation before it could escalate
Well, yeah, no one claims he was being put in jail. But It doesn't seem to me like they arrested him because it was so tense a situation. But I can be wrong. Anyway, a good job by the police would have been to calm down the situation and perhaps escort him outta there. Not rob him of his freedom by putting him in cuffs. Have you ever been put in cuffs? It's not a nice experience to be taken away your physical freedom. It SHOULD be a very serious thing to do, not something that's done on random.
I have relatives and friends who are in law enforcement that have explained similar scenarios before. Sometimes they will take away a guy to diffuse a situation who has not necessarily committed a "crime" but he is the focus of a potential problem. It is easier to remove the one negative element than to break up a fight, arrest 5 drunks or actually tazer one of them. In this instance I will agree it could have been done without actually cuffing the guy. Maybe even just given him an escort back to his car with a lecture to leave the drunks alone. I do understand the tactics in play here though.
What is weird to me is that I watched this video ready to be appalled our police officers were doing something wrong. I was ready to cry "foul" and stand by the right to free speech. Then I saw what actually happened and found myself having to defend the actions of the officers :P
I feel bad for you Americans i really do.
Me too. What is America turning into?
Europe. [I'll see my way out]

'Tis sad what has become of the Vikings... the Visigoths, the Celts, the highlanders, the Greeks...

Sure, the guy's a moron. But when a society starts arresting people for offending others - that's as totalitarian as it gets.
