You can always tell it’s mid summer when the cicadas are so loud you have to raise your voice to speak above them.

It’s been 100° for weeks now without any rain. The cicadas don’t seem to mind at all singing at the top of their “lungs”
While it is a bit hard even for my liking, this will be my 12th year in a row without using AC even in the months where it’s 100° every day.
I like the cicadas, have adapted I can handle the heat just fine.
