Bear hugging a giant Kingfish

I was offshore fishing with a few buddies when a big kingfish took my friends bait and hit so hard it backlashed his reel. Somehow he was able to get the birdsnest out of his reel and begin to fight the fish. After a nice battle the Capt tries to gaff the king but the beast of a fish rips the gaff out of his hand and sinks to the bottom. We didn't have another gaff or net so we had to improvise!
