Four High-Quality YouTube Channels You Should Watch!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #video7 years ago

Since it's inception, YouTube has become a huge source of how we partake in entertainment, news, and other media. There are YouTube channels for almost anything these days. Besides the usual viral videos and videos from television channels who post their material after it airs, it can be difficult to find good quality channels without a bit of digging.

Today, I will promote 4 channels which I believe exhibit some of the best production quality across YouTube in their respective areas. The content creators for these channels clearly care about making high-quality, informative videos that are also enjoyable to watch. I hope you'll take the time to check out these channels and subscribe if you like their content. I'll list them in order of the number of subscribers they currently have.

 CGP Grey

With over 3 million subscribers, CGP Grey has been very successful on YouTube. His videos are very well done, and feature both informative pieces about history or science, as well as videos about his opinions for solutions to problems. The videos are usually presented via animations which are fun to watch.

I was made aware of his videos after seeing his take on traffic and how to solve the issues we face when behind the wheel of a vehicle. Not long after, I discovered that he had other videos that interested me, such as an explanation of the mythology in The Lord of the Rings and an explanation of how YouTube ads work.

He's also produced interesting videos about topics in the United States, such as the electoral college, which he had to update after this past election cycle. It's a very informative look at the electoral college process and what it was originally designed for, as well as some of the issues it faces today.

Head on over to CGP Grey's channel to check out his videos today! I'm sure you'll enjoy them!

 LEMMiNO

I stumbled upon LEMMiNO's videos by accident one day thanks to YouTube suggestions, and I was immediately impressed by his work, as apparently many people have since he has almost 2.5 million subscribers. LEMMiNO's most popular videos are his "Top 10 Facts" videos, in which he lists 10 facts about various subjects ranging from space to video games to money, and even animals.

His videos are spectacularly well made, featuring great images and soundtracks. His voice overs make the videos even more compelling, as the accent he speaks English with is almost entrancing.

In addition to his Top 10 videos, LEMMiNO has also produced a variety of short documentaries about fascinating subjects such as the Dark Web, The Bermuda Triangle, and Artificial Intelligence. I highly recommend his videos, especially if he has done one on a topic you are unfamiliar with. They're an excellent way to learn more about new subjects, and his videos are also great for passing along to friends. I've made reference to his Dark Web video in a previous post as a method of informing my readers should they want some background knowledge. It's always good to be able to reference a high-quality source when writing anything online.

So head on over to LEMMiNO's channel and pick a video about a subject you enjoy, or maybe find one about something you aren't familiar with. I can guarantee you'll enjoy his presentation of the subjects.

 Nerdwriter1

It's no surprise that Nerdwriter1's videos are popular. With 1.7 million subscribers, he has built quite a following during his time on YouTube. Nerdwriter1 is known for creating informative videos across a variety of subject areas, such as art, science, and the social sciences. I believe I was first introduced to Nerdwriter1 when someone shared his video about Pixar's film Inside Out with me. You should watch the video for yourself, so I won't spoil his conclusions, but I was amazed at how in-depth his analysis of the film was, and how well-made the video is. He's done several videos about various movies, including one about why he believes The Prisoner of Azkaban to be the best installment in the Harry Potter film franchise.

I believe my all-time favorite Nerdwriter1 is his analysis of Howard Shore's scores for the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. I'm a huge fan of musical scores for movies, and this video made me appreciate the brilliance of film composers even more than I already did.

He's also done videos regarding politics, tax dollars, and even Donald Trump. So if you enjoy short, informative videos about a variety of relevant topics, you can check out Nerdwriter1's entire channel here. Be careful, though. You might be on his channel for a while!

Chuggaaconroy

This is a little bit different than the first three channels, in that chuggaaconroy's channel is dedicated to playing through games, known on YouTube as "Let's Plays." I first began watching chuggaa's playthroughs of games when I was in high school. I began watching him play the Earthbound series of games, which I was not familiar with at that point. I enjoyed his commentary on the story line and gameplay, as well as his personal anecdotes and mannerisms. Since then, he has played through many games, with a focus on The Legend of Zelda, Mario RPGs, and Pokemon. You'll find many other games among his list of play-throughs, so you can check them out here.

My favorite chuggaa Let's Plays are The Wind Waker, Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon Platinum, and Skyward Sword. Chuggaa is a huge fan of every game he plays, but he exhibits a certain enthusiasm when playing through Zelda and Pokemon games that I enjoy more than some of his other series. If you're a fan of gaming, and you want to watch someone play through the game either as a guide or just for entertainment, I suggest checking out chuggaaconroy's videos. He's my favorite person to watch play games, and he hasn't disappointed with his newest series featuring Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

I hope you'll enjoy watching some of the videos and channels I've presented today. I enjoy watching videos on YouTube, and these are some of my favorites. If you've got a YouTube channel you think I should check out, please post it in the comments! I love to find new things and enjoy watching them.

Great information! I've been subscribed to CGP Grey for a while. There's another channel along those lines that is nice from a fictional history viewpoint. It's AlternateHistoryHub. I've liked his videos and different spin on What-If scenarios.

Great! Thanks for letting me know. I'll definitely check it out.
