Tesla Autopilot not only saves human lives and your car, but it also saves the lives of animals that are in danger. This is a massive step out of technology on the road.

Well, I would say yes and no. Airplanes can fly and land on autopilot last 15-20 years but pilot's need to land manually from time to time to stay in shape. I guess the same will happen to cars. There will be some cars steered by drivers for a long long time no matter how "smart" technology becomes.
