Darth Vader was only on screen in the original Star Wars movie for 8 minutes and for a little under 34 minutes in the whole original trilogy. That's not much time. Yet he is one of the definitive bad guys in the movies, in sci-fi, perhaps in all of fiction. How'd that happen?
