The problem with the YouTube advertising status quo [dTube]

in #video8 years ago (edited)

I've previously spoken about demonetization

One of the reason that I initially came over to dTube and Steemit was a rampant demonetization of my content on YouTube due to its "sensitive nature" or what I call "adult conversations that we should all be having.

Another problem that was recently pointed out is the inefficient fit between content and advertiser. My show is for gun safety regulations and vehemently against the NRA, and yet lately, a TON of NRA ads are running on my channel.

Check out the discussion in the video, and let me know whether you think the Steem blockchain solves this issue!

It wouldn't surprise me if targeting advertising of David Pakman to those that are right wing results in some good Hatriot Mail content, though. :D

there's no doubt about that, for sure

There are so many problems with the Youtube platform - on the other hand it's launched a ton of careers. I'm glad we're seeing more youtubers come this way....now we're starting to see it with insta as well.

The problem is you can be demonitized for talking about anything real.

you tube play's it safe and if there can make a ton of money

I was told stuff about you and obviously it was said well. I am new here, Just had my first post and I wasn't disappointed by this first post of yours I'm seeing. you are an inspirer.thanks sir!

Yuotube Isn't a good option anymore, Dtube is in many points better that Youtube.

The mass shootings in the U.S has to stop. There needs to be gun regulations so that getting a gun is harder for those who maybe more likely to commit a mass murder. The NRA still have a big influence over U.S politicians so getting gun regulations in the U.S will not be easy.

Currently YouTube shows a lot of immersion, which seems very annoying to see. You wrote something like this.

Just an idea, but the first thing I thought you were gonna say when you started saying you'd tried advertising the Rightwingers was that you'd tried advertising videos to them that they might get on board with, not trying to inflame them into spreading your content.

Just an idea, but you might want to consider trying that. There are frequent issues that the right cares almost as much or exactly as much about that you cover. I'm sure most of them have closed minds, but even still you stand to gain a lot more people who wouldn't ordinarily view your content, and it could even lead to opening their minds to issues that they may not have considered before.

super vidio dear bro @davidpakman and good job.

keep it up
