The Divine Comedy, it is a poem written by Dante Alighieri the exact date it was written is unknown but it is assumed that it begun 1308 and completed in 1320, a year before his death in 1321. It is considered the masterpiece of Italian literature and one of the summits of universal literature. The first thing that has surprised me has been the unexpected fidelity to the classic.
