If they are forking, means they are not related to STEEM, just that the consensus algo is the same, and they renamed STEEM to whatever tokens they want... hmm.. how will that benefit STEEM ?
Well i'm no expert but from what I understood, the tokens were created on the steem blockchain, but there are talks of them moving to the ethereum blockchain after the ICO, but no real info on it. So it might still be part of the steem ecosystem. But for the ICO they are only accepting payments in ETH which makes me think they are actually gonna fork. On the otherhand APPICS was vreated on the eth blockchain and are moving to the steemit ecosystem after the ICO and they are accepting payments in steem and SBD too.

thanks for the info... I didnt know Appics was on eth block chain and moving to steemit.. thats kind of a weird way of doing things.
