Good morning, Steemians! 😊

A couple of our squirrels grabbing a snack. 😊

We are so grateful that the turkeys have decided to increase their number of daily visits, they come around at least four times a day now. 😊
image.png
How many turkeys do you see in this shot? I’m betting you can’t spot them all, they camouflage really well. 😊
image.png
Our main flock of pigeons putting on a show. It’s so hard to tell the lovely Dawn and handsome Peace apart in this picture, but Dawn is the brown and white one on the right side of the shot and Peace is the one on the left. 😊
image.png
While some turkeys were hanging out at the barn, others wandered through our potato patch from last years garden. 😊
image.png
The turkeys were the first ones here after the snow finally stopped. 😊
image.png
Every time we open our doors it causes the turkeys to takeoff, some just run into the woods and others fly away, to return again later in the day. 😊
image.png
Our red and yellow onions are sprouting, we’re looking forward to moving them out into the garden once the snow and frost is gone in June. 😊
image.png
The pigeons love to photo bomb whenever I’m taking pictures of the turkeys. 😊
image.png
The always pretty Hope hanging out, trying to stay shielded from the blustery wind. 😊
image.png
My first attempt to make a pull apart Cinnabon, like you’d get from Pizza Hut didn’t turn out quite like I wanted, and it may not have been pretty, but it tasted great. 😊
image.png
The bread I made turned out nicely and tasted yummy too. 😊
image.png
The Pigeons, Snow Buntings and Chickadees all taking off together after the dogs came outside. 😊
image.png
Some of the turkeys hanging out in our front yard pasture. 😊

Turkeys flying away. 😊

Sunset after a snowstorm. 😊

An Eagle and some European Starlings hanging out in our Crows and Ravens (Cravens) favourite tree. 😊

Our handsome bull Prince Lee watching us as we talk to the squirrels and birds in the backyard. 😊

A very blurry shot of the Eagle leaving. 😊

Chatting with one of our squirrels. 😊

We started our first batch of eggs through the incubator last week. They’re all viable as of their candling the other night, which is very cool, and three of the 12 currently in the incubator are from our neighbours redhead. We call her Phyllis (because she reminds us of Phyllis Diller) and we have one from both Phyllis and their other hen (the left and middle one in the top row respectively,) the beautiful Jemima, for the next batch going through after the first one is finished and cleaned out/disinfected. Lord willing, we’ll get a few more from both of these pretty hens and they’ll be able to become our bull’s buddies after our neighbour finishes building the coop for his rooster and hens this spring and is ready for his to go home. Prince Lee enjoys having some chickens in with him for company and he’s a good guard for them, but our flock is all trained to go into the coop and won’t stay with him, so we’re going to do our best to get them to become a herd/flock once they’re big enough to go out to the barn. 😊

Seeing the Snow Buntings walking around the front yard made me think of my days at 408 Squadron, out on the tarmac, doing a FOD walk with all the others on duty at the time. We were making sure there was no debris that could damage the helicopters that would be flying in and out each day and I’m betting we looked similar to this, just a bit taller, LOL! 😊

Our handsome bull Prince Lee watching a couple of turkeys that are hanging out near his favourite “scratching tree”, while other turkeys run around behind him. 😊
image.png
Well, that was how things have been going for us here. I hope you have all been safe and healthy and have had an amazing week! 😊 I’m grateful to God for blessing us with another week to share with you here. 😊 God bless you all. 😊 Have an awesome week everyone! 😊
