Good morning, Steemians! 😊
It’s been a very busy week, yet I can’t really say why, just a whole lot of little things needed doing and all took up chunks of each day, I guess. Thankfully, one of the things that needed doing was cuddling/socializing the newest chicks, like this little fellow we’re calling Floyd. 😊
We started a second batch of eggs in the incubator this week and are hoping, Lord willing, that the power outage the other day didn’t mess them up. 😊
The turkeys took a day off from visiting us, but they were out there to say hello to us today. 😊
This sunshine was beautiful and bright, but it had no warmth to it at all. 😊

The hatchlings enjoying some treats in their brooder box in the basement until its warm enough and they’ve grown enough to be able to survive over with the flock in the coop. 😊
We got to enjoy our first official barbecue of 2023, a ribeye with some potatoes, carrots, corn, peas, peppers, and onions, yum. 😊

Floyd is getting used to me cuddling him now, so we should get along well as he grows up. 😊
My homemade version of apple pies/turnovers, the seams blew out on two, but they still tasted good. 😊

My handsome husband added a few of our wood logs for the chicks to use in their brooder box and they love them. 😊

The garlic we started the other day is growing like gang busters. 😊

I spent my day cleaning half of our computer room/office, taking everything out of every drawer and nook and cranny, wiping it all out/off, donating/giving away whatever we haven’t used/will not use and throwing away any junk that made its way into those drawers and nooks and crannies. It’s spring-cleaning time here on our homestead. 😊
