The centralization resistant digital currency.
Definitely not a new coin it forked from bitcoin in 2014
development changed hands recently from bushido to
lovejoy and again has an active team guiding the
roadmap.
There was no premine and all 84,000,000 must be mined.
4 times the number of coins of bitcoin with the reward
being 50vtc every 2.5minutes or so.
Key features at the moment are ASIC resistance which
other forks are only now trying to accomplish.
Mining is easier also with creation of the recent “one-click”
miner which makes setup for the common man very easy.
It also has SegWit support as of May 2017 which allowed it
to also implement the Lightning network support meaning
it can now be more scalable with off chain payment
channels reducing overall blockchain load.
These features still need work but the quick adoption of
new tech puts up there with other larger cap coins and so
has decent upward potential.
